Clinic for Adult Communication Disorders

cac logo

The Clinic for Adult Communication Disorders (CAC) is a longstanding service and education training center designed to serve adults who present with a variety of communication disorders. The CAC welcomes self-referrals from the university community-faculty, staff, students- and also from Tucson and surrounding regions and from other sources.

The CAC is equipped to provide comprehensive perceptual and instrumental evaluation of speech and language behavior. From such measurement, we develop individual, prescribed programs of management. These programs are designed to teach new speech behavior, (speech sound production, fluency, voice), reduce accents, help retrieve and restore language function, enhance presentation style and professional communication skills, facilitate compensatory strategies, or augment speech with communication systems that enhance message comprehensibility.

The clinic is in operation eleven months of the year, and offers a variety of individual and group programs including outreach activities.
