Childhood Apraxia of Speech Advanced Training Workshop featuring Edythe Strand, PhD, CCC-SLP
The University of Arizona is hosting a FREE advanced training workshop by Edythe Strand, PhD, Professor Emerita, Mayo College of Medicine. Dr. Strand is internationally recognized for her expertise in childhood apraxia of speech. The training is for speech-language pathologists who want to advance clinical skills in the treatment of childhood apraxia of speech using evidence-based treatment methods. This unique, two-day workshop will include demonstrations of treatment techniques, videos, case studies, and treatment planning/goal writing activities to help participants improve their clinical skills. The workshop is limited to 50 participants in order to provide an interactive learning experience. To maximize the educational experience, participants are required to watch a 5-hour educational video and pass the post-test prior to submitting an application for the workshop. Continuing education units will be offered.
