Reese and Nancy Woodling have established this scholarship to support the education of SLHS audiology students enrolled in the PhD or Doctor of Audiology Program. Students who have completed at least one semester of graduate training at the UA in SLHS, who will be taking classes at the University in the upcoming year, and who have a desire to pursue a research career and obtain a Ph.D. as part of their training, are eligible for this scholarship. The scholarship is in memory of Reese Woodling’s father, George, and his uncle, Homer, who were deaf by the age of 60, and Reese’s son, David, who was losing his hearing several years before he passed away. The Woodlings will award this scholarship to a student who will engage in research into deafness.
Applications are due in March each year.
