Alex Hernandez, MEd

Alex Hernandez serves as Senior Academic Advisor for the Speech, Language & Hearing Sciences (SLHS) major and the minor for the program. Before joining the department, he worked as an Academic Advisor for the College of Education for Early Childhood and Elementary Education. He was also an advisor for the department of Computer Science.

Alex graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science in Care, Health & Society, with a Minor in Public Health. He then completed his master’s in education at Northern Arizona University.

Alex enjoys exploring Tucson and finding new food places to try in his free time, so if you have any recommendations, please let him know. Coffee is a daily essential, so you will always see him with an iced coffee even during winter. He loves music and movies from all genres, especially Marvel. Alex loves traveling and is trying to explore new cities. On his bucket list is to travel to the other side of the world and visit Japan.  Alex has two German shepherds, so they always keep him busy.
