Brandon Garivaldo, (He/They), is a first year PhD student in SLHS. He is a research assistant in the Bilingual Phonology Lab, assuming the role of Lead Phonetic Transcriber. Brandon is working under the direction of Dr. Leah Fabiano-Smith, CCC-SLP, and is currently focusing on models of bilingualism, specifically Translanguaging, in the aspect of Spanish-English phonology as well as issues related to diversity, equity, and inclusion in higher education and its impact on research.
