Mark DeRuiter, PhD, MBA, CCC-A, CCC-SLP, joined SLHS as Clinical Professor and Associate Department Head for Clinical Education in July 2017. Dr. DeRuiter is dually certified in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology. He is a Fellow of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and the American Academy of Audiology. He teaches graduate courses in Counseling, Professional Issues, and Practice Management for speech-language pathology and audiology students. He also teaches an undergraduate workshop called, "Mapping Your Future." His clinical and research interests include auditory processing disorders and issues in clinical education.
