SLHS Student Groups
Interested in joining one of our student groups? We have very active chapters of the National Student Speech-Language-Hearing Association (NSSLHA) and Student Academy of Audiology (SAA) as well as the student led Speech-Language and Hearing Cats of Color (SHCC) on campus. These groups provide opportunities for you to engage in educational, philanthropic and leadership activities that complement what you are learning in the classroom.
SLHS offers a variety of opportunities for students to engage in meaningful learing experiences outside of the classroom, including directed research (SLHS 392/492), independent study (SLHS 399/499), preceptoring an undergraduate course (SLHS 391/491), and participating as a clinical assistant (SLHS 458/459). You can learn about the campus-wide engagement initiative, and College of Science opportunities.
Academic Resources
UArizona's Student Success District houses the resources you use to be successful on campus. The Bartlett Academic Success Center houses The A Center, Thrive Center, Student Engagement & Career Development, the Strategic Alternative Learning Techniques (SALT) Center, Student Success & Retention Innovation, and Think Tank.
There are two University Libraries on campus. You can reserve space, borrow electronic and technical equipment, and even check out a book.
The Disability Resource Center (DRC) ensures disability access across our campus and in our classrooms.
