Dr. Brown was chosen from a very competitive field of nominees because of her innovative accomplishments while here at UArizona. The committee was especially impressed by her key contributions in the area of cognitive and communication disorders due to traumatic brain injury. To quote: "Your unique work to promote recovery and life quality in individuals with acquired brain damage is remarkable."

Dr. Brown began at the university in 2017, and has received high marks in her teaching, service, and research. Her previous research has been funded by NIH and the University of Minnesota. Dr. Brown has been honored by the American Congress of Rehabilitative Medicine Brain Injury Group and the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. SLHS is proud to have her on our faculty.
