Celebrating Dr. Beeson!
Help us thank and recognize Dr. Pélagie Beeson, Pagie to her friends and colleagues, for her leadership, vision and tireless efforts on behalf of UArizona’s Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences these past 10 years as Department Head. Her dedication has been inspirational and meaningful to students, faculty, staff and individuals with aphasia and other communication disorders who are a part of the SLHS community. Dr. Beeson has returned to teaching and research full time.
With support from generous donors like you, we will be able to create an honorary lunch table on campus just outside the SLHS building that will benefit the entire SLHS community and serve as a lasting tribute to Dr. Beeson. This table will include an engraved plaque with her name and years of service as Department Head (2011-2021). Any money raised in excess of the funding for the table will go toward Dr. Beeson’s continued aphasia research.
