P.E.O. Scholar Award Winner, Trianna Oglivie
SLHS is proud to announce PhD candidate, Trianna Oglivie, was awarded a P.E.O. Scholar Award! P.E.O. is an international Philanthropic Educational Organization that supports the education of women through educational grants, loans and scholarships. The P.E.O. Scholar Awards program, established in 1991, provides educational awards for women who are pursuing a doctoral level degree at an accredited college or university in the United States or Canada. P.E.O. Scholar Awards are one-time, competitive, merit-based awards for women who are pursuing a doctoral level degree. In addition to recognizing and encouraging excellence in higher education, these awards provide partial support for study and research for women who will make significant contributions in their varied fields of endeavor.
We thank Laura Mosier, MS, CCC-SLP, for facilitating Trianna's nomination. Laura is the Philanthropy Chair of P.E.O Chapter AD located in Tucson, Arizona, and is an alumna of the UA's Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences (BS '79, MS '81).
