Research Focus: The Bilingual Acquisition and Processing Systems (BAPS) Lab advances our understanding of how the mind and brain support language acquisition and language processing by: (1) reflecting on the rich diversity in the linguistic experience, (2) incorporating psychometric and neuroimaging measures, and (3) engaging with the local and global communities. The goal of this work is to develop and test neurobiologically grounded models of language with individuals across the lifespan.
Student Roles: Undergraduate research assistants can be involved in a variety of ways, including: (1) Develop and implement community engagement activities, (2) Assist in participant recruitment and retention, (3) Assist in data collection and data management, (4) Design and execute an independent project from available data sets.
