Genesis Arizmendi Awarded HSI Faculty Seed Grant
Initiative to support underrepresented students in CSD professions
SLHS Faculty member Genesis Arizmendi was awarded a 2024 Hispanic Serving Institutes (HSI) Faculty Seed Grant. This award will support Dr. Arizmendi's initiative titled “Pathway for Underrepresented Education and Networking in Training and Empowerment (PUENTE) for Diversity in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.” You can learn more about this year's awardees here.
Dr. Arizmendi, director of the multicultural bilingual certificate program, is an interdisciplinary clinician-scientist committed to improving clinical-research practices and educational outcomes for Spanish-English speaking communities.
