Overview
Katelyn Kotlarek, PhD, CCC-SLP, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences at the University of Arizona. Her research examines how craniofacial anatomy and development intersect with velopharyngeal function for speech and feeding in children with cleft palate and other craniofacial differences. Her research integrates magnetic resonance imaging, speech analysis, and clinical outcomes to advance understanding of the surgical impact of palate repair and improve treatment for this population.
