Genesis Arizmendi Named Confluence Center Fellow

SLHS Assistant Professor Genesis Arizmendi was recently named a Mellon-Fronteridades Faculty Fellow through the Confluence Center for Creative Inquiry. This fellowship funds UArizona faculty members engaging in "interdisciplinary research projects that explore, analyze, and elevate the lived experiences, cultural resources, and border dynamics of the US-Mexico borderlands" as shared on their website. Dr. Arizmendi will explore the multifaceted role of language brokering in the borderlands.
